finally back to sewing

I cut McCall's m5640 which is so me. I did mot take a picture of the pattern cover but let me say this is the third time I have cut this pattern.
The first time I cut up a really cute knit fabric and then realized that jersey knit was not a fabric suggestion for the pattern.

I then cut it out using a cotton batik from Hancock fabrics and because I was pinning the pattern to the fabric it was not coming out right. And then I read this post on a blog and the difference between using pins and using weights. The lady and I can not remember her name of the blog did a demonstration showing how when pinned the pieces come out differently. Whatever her name is I thank her because now I can see that my pieces were cut correctly.

Now if I could cut straight we would be in business.

I am going to sew it together later today.
