Sewing Class

I had my one and one sewing class this past Saturday and let me tell you something Carol is the best. She taught me how to do a neckline and how to install an invisible zipper. The class before that she taught me darts and how to sew on buttons in a couture fashion (which I have used on some clothes I already own) that really secures the buttons to the clothing.

She also took my measurements for me and let me know that I would always have to alter a pattern because of my measurements. I am debating on if I will be taking another class with a different instructor who will show me how to alter patterns to fit my body.

I am so excited and I can not wait to start sewing up a storm.. I already have a stash of patterns and some fabric.. My first project is going to be a tote bag.
