A new journey begins

i found out on Friday that I am pregnant.. Words can not express my joy. Please note that there will not be a facebook announcement because most of my family is out of town and I dont want them to find out that way

Inspiration

I have been following the blog Hip Couture for sometime now, but recently on her facebook page Chanel posted that she was going to make a maxi dress from a t-shirt. Nothing ground breaking because I saw Mimi do it on her blog (mimigstyle.com) as well. I just could not wrap my head around it.

Chanel has promised me a tutorial on how to do it. However, I started to surf google and I believe that I have figured out so stay tuned for my strap maxi. I need to find the right fabric and that has not happened just yet. there are slim pickings in Joann's and Hancock fabrics so I have to order online from fabric.com.

Pregnancy journey

So I am still on my journey... Started having severe cramps few weeks ago so the doctor has ordered that I forego the next round of Clomid (insert sad face). The funny thing is I have not gotten my cycle yet I am five days late. Too scared to test though, no one understands that hurt when that test is negative.

Eventually I am going to have to do this though. Put on my big girl panties and pee on the stick.

Being able to write here is like therapy for me..

Still chugging along

Had a visit from my brother and his family this weekend. I love seeing them but this weekend has taught me that my life has certainly changed.  I can not longer just sit around and wait on others. I plan my weekends because my weekdays are full of work.

So I did not engage in the plans the family had this weekend because they were still in bed at one in the afternoon and I had other plans.

In other news:

On my second round of Clomid. I actually took the last one today.. So from the 16th through the 21st I have to practice babymaking.. I am hoping that it takes this time because I only have one round left and then we are upping the dosage.

Baby Train

So I took my first round of clomid from January 31 thru February 5.... So right now I am past due for my cycle. I am a little scared to do the pregnancy test but I have promised myself that tonight is the night if nothing happens.

I have never wanted anything more than to be a mommy so I am scared and excited at the same time.

Send up some prayers for me PLEASE!

baby journey update

Took my first round of clomid starting on 02/1/13... five pills five days.. Now we are using ovulation kit to determine the best date to get busy.. I am really praying that this works the first time.

Sis I think you should go for it.. I love babies and I am praying daily for my own.

Baby Journey

So I am now 36 and childless if you don't count my furry baby. I had chosen who I thought was a good doctor for me however I was disappointed. See I prefer female doctors and African American if possible. I think my mistake was thinking she would be like my former ob/gyn.  She does not follow up at all with me. I have to call her office, wait for the nurse to call me back hours later to tell me that my pap was normal. Now she has my medical records so she knew that I had not had a normal pap in over 8 years.  So when I start asking questions the nurse tells me that she will ask her and call me back. This was two months ago. I had also informed her that I would like to get pregnant because my window of opportunity is closing... She tells me that she needs to talk to the cardiologist which is cool.. Fast forward 23days later I am at cardiologist's office and I discussed having a baby with him, he tells me that it is not a problem and that he already sent my records to the OB.. Seriously!  So I have changed doctors and will be going to my first appointment on the 28th.. I will be moving to a bigger place on the 1st so things are moving along.

Please say a prayer for me.. Being a mommy is a lifetime dream for me.  It is the main topic of conversation between me and Jesus.

Sewing Classes

I have been trying to take more sewing classes and I can not find one that fits my schedule. I mean seriously 2 to 4pm on a Thursday. I work.

Try the private lesson route but when I asked the lady where we would meet my place or hers. She could never give me a straight answer. And she wanted to be paid first. Nope! While I should be practicing on my own I had not been doing this.. Now that Mimi is posting tutorials and stuff I am going to see if I can learn that way.  Wish me luck

Guess who's back

I know it has been awhile but I have been busy living like never before. I am blessed and I try to thank GOD daily for what he has done and will do for me. I will be around from now on.. For now I am cleaning out the camera so here are some photos..
